On Oct. 19, 2009, The Obama administration announced a new home plan to help state and local housing agencies. Hundreds ofthousands of homeowners could get help from this New Home Plan.
Obama’s New Home Plan New Home Plan will help keep mortgage rates low, and increase resources for low and middle income borrowers to buy or rent homes.
How does Obama’s New Home Plan work?
The plan is a temporary plan, it will allow state and local housing finance agencies through government-sponsored mortgage finance giants Fannie Mae (Fannie Mae) and Freddie Mac (Freddie Mac) bond; Since then, these bonds will be Ministry of Finance the acquisition.
Obama’s New Home Plan aims to restart the sources of mortgage refinance for the first-time home buyers and low-income home buyers.due to the freezing of credit markets has led to a greater extent, lack of access mortgages for home buyers.
According to this Plan, the Government’s aim is to help to launch a new mortgage lending activities to support those who may not get mortgage from other ways. Another purpose is to provide better support for the cost of refinancing programs.
The New Home Plan will be sufficient to refinance hundreds of thousands of new mortgage loans provide financing to the development and rehabilitation of rental housing tens of thousands of buildings.
There will be strong taxpayer protections,expected cost to the federal government is zero.
