Citi Mortgage is a joke. I’ve been trying to get a modification since Feb 2009 when my husband was laid off. They told me I couldn’t get a modification because they couldn’t count his unemployment as income. They then put me on a forbearance plan. I was told if I followed this plan I would not be reported as being late on my mortgage. Well that wasn’t true because I have been reported and now I can’t get a loan to save my life. I’ve called them numerous times and get no return calls. I started my modification in June 2009 and made the trial payments to then find out my trial period was pushed back to Oct 2009. I made each payment at least 15 days before the due date in hopes I could get this done with before 2010 but no luck. It’s now Feb 2010 and I still don’t have a modification in writing. They are just dicking me around and I’m tried of it. Who do we call about this…who can help us??
